Vienna Science Days

The Vienna Science Days brought together representatives of the city administrations of Vienna as well as the international dialogue cities with outstanding researchers from leading universities to discuss the pressing challenges of urban development. Each event consisted of a Science Day and a Vienna Day, providing space for exchange of ideas and the development of joint solutions. The Vienna Science Days continue the successful tradition of the Vienna Days, which have been an excellent networking opportunity for experts from Vienna and the dialogue cities since 2016.

Vienna Science Days Zagreb 2025
On November 4 and 5, 2025, Vienna and Zagreb were at the center of an intensive exchange between city administrations, experts from municipal enterprises, and researchers from leading universities. Together they addressed key questions about shaping the urban future – from current developments to long-term strategies for livable cities.

Vienna Science Days Berlin 2024
Vienna and Berlin deepened their existing collaboration at the Vienna Science Days. From November 27 to 28, 2024, representatives of city administrations, experts from municipal and city-related companies, as well as renowned universities from both metropolisises, gathered at the Alte Münze in Berlin. The focus was on the current and future challenges of urban development.

Vienna and Prague have been working together for a long time in numerous areas of local government. As part of this ongoing exchange, a two-day conference was held on May 15 and 16, 2024 in Prague's Palais Clam-Gallas on the occasion of the Vienna Science Days.
